Half-Breed Layout Boat
The Half-Breed is our newest addition to our fleet of layout boats. This boat is the first ever dual purpose layout boat. Perfect for getting into the backwater marshes, dragging it over dikes and or through flooded fields. Also equally as qualified for open water layout hunting with its low profile and extremely stable platform. Yes this is truly the first of its kind. The Half-Breed weighs in at around 75lbs completely equipped with all options so its easy to carry and or push pull or drag it over dikes logs etc. Check out the photos below and the video and we believe you will agree this boat can do it all.
Paddling the Half-Breed!
The Half-Breed Layout boat is constructed from all fiberglass and composite materials and hand laid using only the highest quality materials. The boat comes in your choice of open water grey for the open water or olive drab for the marsh. The Half-Breed paddles remarkably well and tracks even better. And doesn't loose its stability and low profile in doing so. the Secret is once again in the hull structural design. We used the keel design of the Towable UFO and made it work with the concaved 2 strake hull of the Half-Breed. The Half-Breed comes standard with positive floatation in the bow and the stern of the boat and also a molded in backrest for comfort on those slow days. We can also compliment your new boat with handles and a full spray shield to keep the water of if your situation will involve dealing with rougher water. We have put this boat through the testing process and filled it full of water and it still floated with 175lb person inside it. Hunt with a dog? That is very possible with the Half-Breed, plenty of room inside the boat and with its capacity rating of 375lbs I see no reason why your best friend couldn't join you on the hunts. We believe you will find the Half-Breed to fit well in almost any situation that requires a small boat that 1 person can manage alone.
